I also love Tenzin's character arc with his family as well as Jinora's bigger roe but this season is just a let down. As Asami steals Mako's heart, Korra struggles to express her feelings for Mako and also at the same time Bolin tries to win Korra's heart by being brave enough to ask Korra to go out with him. As Korra tries to restore the streets of Republic city, she learns that her decision to keep the spirit portals open has created a new conflict between humans and spirits, and triggered the emerging of new Airbenders. Now that Avatar Korra can bend water, earth and fire, she is anxious to start her airbender training, but trouble in the city interrupts her plans. Korra becomes part of Councilman Tarrlok's task force which aims to rid Republic City of the Equalists. She yells at everyone and thinks she knows best and it doesn't resemble the more mature character at the end of season 1 and Unalaq is such a boring, generic villain and the show just forgets about him in episodes 5-8 and 11 and the season ends in a generic end of the world situation with plot convenience and none of the characters learn anything.ĭespite that, the score and animation is just as good as ever, the action scenes are an improvement over season 1, Varrick is such a well-written character, the first 4 episodes set up an interesting conflict, it's creative, the story of Avatar Wan is really interesting and I love the idea of focusing on spirits as it wasn't explored much in the original series. Korra moves to Republic City to learn airbending and is enlisted to fight the anti-bender uprising of the 'Equalists,' led by the masked Amon. Korra as well is so unlikeable this season. Then episode 7 and 8 randomly just throws us this new threat and we get a backstory on the first avatar but there's no build up to it and it's just an end of the world situation with no thematic depth. Everything in Republic City serves no purpose to the plot and unlike Avatar, it doesn't develop the characters at all and the worst part is we get 3 whole episodes dedicated to it in episodes 5, 8 and 11. The conflict is not seen until episode 11 where it's just resolved in one fight scene. It starts off well with episodes 1-4 exploring the conflict of the northern and southernnwater tribe and Korra learning spiritual training but after episode 4 it goes downhill. There they hope to recruit some of the world's new Airbenders in hope of rebuilding the Air Nomads. Summary: Korra, Tenzin, and Team Avatar board Asami's new airship and head to the Earth Kingdom. The biggest issue with season 2 is its structure and pacing. Simmons, David Faustino, Dee Bradley Baker, Janet Varney, P.J.
#AVATAR THE LEGEND OF KORRA SEASON 4 EPISODE 2 DAILYMOTION SERIES#
The series takes place 70 years after the orginal with technology advanced to about mid-1920s on earth. A huge disappointment after the solid start that was season 1 and by far the worst season of Korra. The Legend of Korra Episode Guide and Show Schedule: The Legend of Korra takes place in the same fictional universe as Avatar: The Last Airbender, whose societies have incorporated in them a multitude of elements derived from East Asian and Inuit cultures.
